AIJNSA urges health ministry to conduct NEET UG twice a year
AIJNSA team has submitted a representation to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and recommended conducting NEET UG twice a year from this year onwards. This can help reduce stress and anxiety among students, providing them with more opportunities to succeed, said the association.
All India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) has written to union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and urged him to conduct the NEET UG examination twice a year to reduce stress and anxiety among students and to provide them with more opportunities to succeed.
The association has said that they are trying for this solution since a long time as the number of candidates is increasing every year but the number of seats is not increasing accordingly. Hence, conducting NEET UG only once a year puts immense pressure on the students.

The letter also said that due to the considerable time gap between board exams and NEET-UG exams, the students find it challenging to prepare for the entrance exam and taking NEET twice a year can solve this problem. The association has also highlighted the increasing number of suicide cases of the aspirants which is alarming for society and this is due to too much pressure on the candidates to perform well in the exam which gets conducted only once a year for a limited number of seats.
NEET UG 2023 exam will be held on May 7, 2023, and more than 20 lakh candidates have registered this year and they are waiting for the NEET UG 2023 admit card to be released. National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release it in the first week of May (by May 3 or May 4) at the official website - neet.nta.nic.in.
While many of the NEET UG 2023 candidates demanded to postpone the exam by at least one month, the government has not responded to their demands and the exam will be held as per the pre-scheduled date.
