All India Institute of Ayurveda collaborates with Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for research

All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, has joined forces with Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for integrated research.

Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, have signed an agreement for integrated research in the areas of Rheumatology and Neurology and will also foster academic programs especially in short term clinical.

AIIA tweet says, "AII India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi signed a landmark agreement with Indraprastha Apollo hospital on 02.02.2022, for facilitating integrated research in strength areas like Neurology, Rheumatology & will also foster academic program especially in short term clinical."

Another tweet says, "Engagements of postgraduate & residents scholars from both institutions. The MoU was signed by @tnesari, Director @AIIA_NDelhi & Dr. Anupam Sibal, Director & Head Medical Group Apollo in presence of Prof. Sujata Kadam, Dean AIIA & Senior consultants from both the Institutions"

Recently, AIIA has developed an AYURAKSHA Kit with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH. The kit has been listed by Jan Aushadhi Kendra under Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana and it comprises a set of ayurvedic medicines specially prepared to boost the immunity of adults against COVID-19. This kit was launched during National Ayurveda Day on November 02, 2021, by Sarbananda Sonowal, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Ayush.

Also, AIIA has developed an immunity improving kit against Covid-19 for kids. The kit is named BalRaksha Kit and is also developed with the help of the Ministry of AYUSH. 

The government is aiming to promote cost-effective natural health services such as Yoga and Naturopathy and the Ministry of Ayush has received an allocation of INR 3,050 crore in the Union Budget 2022.
