Congress alleges BJP involved in looting seats in Medical colleges
Congress has alleged that the cut-off of NEET-PG Counselling was reduced to save the daughter of a powerful person.
Congress Party has once again levelled allegations against the Modi Government over the reduction in NEET-PG Cut-off. Congress has alleged that the cut-off of NEET-PG Counselling was reduced to save the daughter of a powerful person.
Earlier, last month some people alleged that the NEET-PG 2023 Cut-off was lowered to help Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya’s daughter.
During a press conference, Congress spokesperson Dr Ajoy Kumar levelled a set of allegations against the Central Government during which he stated that the cut-off of NEET-PG was reduced to save the daughter of a powerful person.
Congress has also alleged that the BJP is indulging in looting candidates in private medical colleges. “BJP's bumper loot offer started in private medical college,” said Dr Kumar.
He also stated that the price of MD Radiology was Rs. 3 crores last year and this year it became Rs 11 crore. The price of MD medicine increased to Rs. 5 crores. MD Dermatology cost Rs. 10 crores.
On the other hand, reacting to the allegations levelled against him, Health Minister clarified while speaking to TV News Channel and said: “First of all my daughter has not even applied for the NEET exam. So whether or not the relaxation has been issued for that purpose is out of the question.”
The National Medical Commision last month reduced the NEET-PG Cut-off to zero. The minister stated that the NEET-PG 2023 cut-off was reduced because a huge number of medical PG seats were being left vacant every year. He also added that this year, as many as 10,000 to 13,000 PG medical seats were expected to be left vacant after the counselling process.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers have been prominently speaking about the number of undergraduate and post-graduate medical seats increased during the tenure of their government.
