DPSRU launches two new courses for medical students

To teach specialised skills to medical science students and to also increase the job prospects for them, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) has launched two new courses for the medical students, as confirmed by the Delhi government.

The two new courses by DPSRU are B.Sc. Biomedical Science and B.Sc. Nursing.

The main objective behind starting these courses is to offer super-specialisations in the third and fourth years of the course in the fields of radiology and diagnostics techniques. 

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “There has been an increase in demand for healthcare manpower, specialised patient support services and management in post-Covid situations. These courses will provide specialised skills to medical science students and will increase their job prospects for them. DPSRU will customise these courses as per the needs of the time and the syllabus will be dynamic,” as reported by NDTV.

DPSRU to sign MoU with Ambedkar Nagar Hospital, Dakshinpuri

As per the DPSRU's Vice Chancellor Ramesh K Goyal, the university is all set to ink an MoU with the Ambedkar Nagar Hospital, Dakshinpuri and other hospitals in Delhi to offer hands-on experience to students.

“University will ensure that each student gets required field exposure while doing their specialisation,” he said.

"The courses will be a choice-based credit system with the provision of multiple exits as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020," he added.
