Dr Z A Dental College, AMU announces Clincal Training Program

Dr Z A Dental College: Applications have been invited for the next batch of observation based short term clinical training programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery beginning from February 1, 2024 at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr Z A Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University.

Prof Ghulam Sarwar Hashmi, Chairman of the department said that BDS graduates from any institute recognized by the Dental Council of India, having completed their internship within two years of submitting the application are eligible for this training programme.

The admission will be given on ‘first come first serve’ basis as there are only three seats, and the training fee of the programme is Rs. 50,000.

Duly filled in application in the prescribed format, available on the website www.amu.ac.in will be accepted only through email sent to sarwarhashmi1@gmail.com and chairperson.om@amu.ac.in. The last date for submission of the form is January 25, 2024.

JN Medical College, AMU organises Cath Lab workshop

The Department of Cardiology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a Cath Lab workshop on cases of Tachyarrythmias for radiofrequency ablation. Dr Avinash Verma from BLK Hospital, New Delhi attended the workshop as the resource person.

Addressing the participants, Dr Verma said that abnormally high heart rates can cause hypotension while syncope can put the patient in a vulnerable situation and also weakens the heart.

Prof Asif Hasan, Chairman, Department of Cardiology informed that about all the cases registered for the workshop were done successfully while about 10 cases were posted.

He said that such workshops not only benefit students academically but also provide cheap and standard treatment for poor patients with Tachyarrythmias from Aligarh district.

Prof Malik Azharuddin, Prof Shaad Aqbari and Dr Moaaz Kidwai, along with senior residents pursuing DM course in Cardiology, attended the workshop.
