FAIMA urges EDMC to expedite doctors' salaries

The doctors of hospitals under East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) have reportedly not received their salaries for the last four months. Now, FAIMA (Federation of All India Medical Association) has come in their support and asked the Commissioner and DHA of EDMC Delhi to pay their salaries as soon as possible.

FAIMA Doctors Association has tweeted, "Doctors of Hospitals under @EDMCDELHI are fighting for their #Salary not paid for 4 months. #FAIMA Urges @CommEDMC & @dhaedmcdelhi to expedite salary of Corona Warriors as soon as possible! #AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav @PMOIndia @HSdmc @LtGovDelhi @RemaNagarajan @drharshvardhan"

In another tweet, FAIMA said,"#SwamiDayanandDelhHospital Doctors are fighting their #Salary not paid for 4 months. #FAIMA Urges @CommEDMC & @dhaedmcdelhi to expedite salary of Corona Warriors as soon as possible!#AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav @PMOIndia @HSdmc @LtGovDelhi @RemaNagarajan @drharshvardhan"

Municipal Corporation Doctor's Association, Delhi, had also tweeted yesterday, "Govt presenting #Budget2022 and we # CoronaWarriors at #SDNH Delhi are fighting for hard-earned #Salary not paid for 4months. No response yet from @CommEDMC & @dhaedmcdelhi #RightToSurvive being compromised #AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav @LtGovDelhi @TimesNow @ndtv"

FAIMA has also written to the medical superintendent of Swami Dayanand Hospital, EDMC, Dilshad Garden. The letter reads, "May refer to various communications from RDA a copy of which has been given to your good self, it pains me to inform you that despite so many assurances from the EDMC administration including yourself, the pending salaries have not been credited to our bank accounts as yet."

"No assurance have been given for payment of our arrears with interest and lifting the ban on our other allowances. Therefore the administration has left us with no choice but to show our agitation regarding the all the above lawful demands. Our demands are as follows - up to date release of salary, written assurance of regularizations of monthly salary, written commitment so that all the pending arrears are paid within 6 months, and restoration of service benefits and service allowances with immediate effect," the letter added.
