President of Delhi Medical Association and Executive Member of Delhi Medical Council, Dr Ashwini Dalmiya, said that the Delhi Medical Council will release one more list of FMG internship.

After Delhi Medical Council had released a list of internship seats available for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) in the medical colleges of Delhi in May 2023, the council is all set to release one more list.

Dr Ashwini Dalmiya, President of Delhi Medical Association and Executive Member of Delhi Medical Council said that the Delhi Medical Council will release one more list of FMG internship.

A total of 587 seats were announced in the first round. 

The details included - 142 (Govt) seats in DDU Hospital, Hari Nagar, Delhi, 70 (Govt) seats in ESI Hospital, Bsaidarapur, 150 (Govt) seats in Hindu Rao Hospital Delhi, 40 (Govt) seats in Northern Railway Hospital Delhi, 30 (Govt) seats in RML Hospital, 20 (Private) in Batra Hospital, 25 (Private) in BLK Kapoor Hospital, 40 (Private) in Holy Family Hospital, 20 (Private) seats in Jaipur Golden, 30 (Private) seats in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and 20 (Private) seats in St Stephen Hospital.

In terms of CRMI Regulations, 2021, as notified by the National Medical Commission, the Foreign Medical Graduates are required to undergo their Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship at state's medical colleges/institutes.

FMGs of India has been in the news for sometime for not getting the internship seats in the medical colleges of India. As per reports, even after clearing the FMGE exam, the doctors were waiting to complete their internships as there were no seats available.
