FORDA supports DNB candidates' protest

Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has written to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and requested the Minister to take note of the grievances of DNB (Diplomate of National Board) candidates who are protesting since yesterday.

The Association of DNB Doctors has started a nationwide protest yesterday against the alleged irregularities and overall low pass percentage in DNB Final Exit Examinations conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

FORDA India tweet reads, "Requesting Hon’ble @mansukhmandviya Sir to take note of grievance of #ResidentDoctors regarding alleged irregularities & overall low pass percentage in #DNB Final Exit Examinations conducted by @NBEMS_INDIA & to take necessary measures @MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_IND"

What FORDA says on DNB candidates' protests?

FORDA India's letter to Mansukh Mandaviya reads, "Since years, it has been observed that the pass percentage of candidates pursuing DNB in various Board Speciality as well as super-speciality courses is extremely low. Also, as revealed in a RTI & accepted by NBEMS, there was paper swapping due to decoding error during the Final Exit Examination of Orthopaedics in December, 2020. All these pionts indicate gross irregularities in the conduction of Final Exit Examination by NBEMS. Though a commmittee was formed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), way back in 2010, the committee's recommendations for bringing necessary reforms in erstwhile National Board of Examinations (NBE) have not been implemented yet."
