Haryana Bond Policy Protests: FORDA, RDA RML observe Black Day today
Amid the ongoing protest of medicos in Haryana against the INR 40 lakh bond policy for MBBS admissions in the state, doctors' associations including FORDA and RDA RML are observing Black Day today, November 7, 2022.
In support of the ongoing protest in Haryana against the bond policy for MBBS admissions, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA), RDA RML, RDA Uttar Pradesh, and RDA & GTBH have joined the protests for “Bond Free Bharat” and is observing Black Day today, November 7, 2022.
FORDA tweet reads, "Another black day for the medical fraternity in India.We call for a nationwide agitation starting with black ribbon protest on 7/11/22.We hope and request that the demands are met and bond policy removed."
"An unwarranted fee hike in the form of a despicable bond policy followed by police action on innocent doctors who have given their best in all circumstances including the Covid pandemic, shows the apathy and weak memory the government has," said a statement by FORDA.
"As a show of solidarity and unity amongst our fellow colleagues and as a symbol of our denunciation for what has happened, we call for a nationwide observance of a black ribbon protest on November 7, 2022."
Docs' associations condemn police action on PGIMS Rohtak protesting students
All these doctors' associations have condemned the police action on the protesting doctors and have joined the Black Day observance today.
Dr. Rohan Krishnan, FAIMA India National President, tweeted, "The issue of MBBS students of Haryana is genuine & @CMOHaryana @DyCMHaryana @anilvijminister should look into this matter & understand fee shd b minimum in Govt Clg Also the news of arrest of protesting students will not be tolerated by us. Requesting to release them immediately."
"How did Rohtak police dared to manhandled the MBBS students. It’s not just a black day for democracy but also for humanity that a doctor is been beaten up by police. We demand immediate suspension of SP of Rohtak who gave such order," said his another tweet.
FAIMA tweet says, "We are extremely against the 40 lakhs rs bond policy imposed by @cmohry @anilvijminister, We are standing firmly with the students. FAIMA delegation led by @Dr_ManishJangra has reached the spot and has joined the protest of young medicos."
