Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine, Ministry of Ayush, will conduct an international conference on Unani Medicine from February 10 to February 11, 2023, in hybrid mode. The theme is 'Unani Medicine for Public Health'. Many experts will share and discuss their ideas during the conference.

Ministry of Ayush has notified that the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine will organise an international conference on Unani medicine between February 10 to February 11, 2023, in hybrid mode. The theme of the conference will be 'Unani Medicine for Public Health'.

"A galaxy of experts and luminaries from the field of public health sciences will share and discuss their ideas, knowledge, experiences and innovations in the domain of public health, technology, Unani Medicine and allied sciences," says MoA tweet.

The Unani system stipulates that every individual has a unique humoural constitution that represents his healthy state. To maintain the correct humoural balance, the body has the ability of self-presersvation and adjustment called Quwwat-e-Mudabbira (medicatrix naturae), said MoA official statement.

The National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Bangalore has made significant strides in promoting the Unani system of medicine. It provides PG & PhD courses and clinical services to the patients through general and speciality OPDs, added the statement.

Department of Integrative Medicine at Safdarjung hospital

Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and union Ayush minister Sarbananda Sonowal jointly inaugurated the Department of Integrative Medicine at Safdarjung hospital, New Delhi on February 7, 2023. The Department of Integrative Medicine will offer services in speciality OPD, Pancha karma therapy and diet consultation for the patients.

MoS for Ayush Dr Mahendra Munjpara and MoS for Health Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar were present on the occasion along with Vaidya, Secretary, MoA, P. K. Pathak, Special Secretary, MoA and Dr. (Prof) Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director, AIIA, New Delhi.
