J&K: 2 new medical colleges to start their first MBBS batches

The two new medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir will add as many as 200 new seats in the upcoming academic session.

The medical aspirants of the region will have 200 additional seats to compete for this upcoming academic session. The region is all set to start 2 new medical colleges Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and GMC Udhampur which will add 200 MBBS seats in this session.

The colleges will start to admit their first batches. This year would be the first with nine GMCs operational in J&K, with a total seat pool of 1300, as reported by Greater Kashmir.

J&K NEET UG Counselling 2023 Registration From July 19

The J&K NEET Counselling 2023 registration will begin on July 19, 2023. The interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website jkbopee.gov.in.

After the registration process will be completed, the Board will notify the Provisional UT Merit List (PUTML) of all the candidates, which will be used for choice filling and seat allotment.

Documents needed for J&K NEET Counselling 2023

“The Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are directed to upload their valid PwD certificate in BOPEE Office Jammu/Srinagar physically also upto 23-07-2023 (3:00 PM), positively. The candidates, who intend to participate against NRI/HM Quota seats in ASCOMS, Jammu/IDS, Sehora Jammu shall also have to register themselves online and submit all such documents offline also separately in the Board office at Jammu/Srinagar up to the

date as may be notified by the Board separately,” reads the official notification.
