JIPMER to hold convocation from August 19 to August 21 for three batches

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry has notified that it will organise the convocation from August 19 to August 21 for three batches.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry has issued a final convocation notice that stated the date and time of convocation for three batches.

The convocations for the students who have passed out in the academic year 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 will be held as follows - for the period of course completion between August 2019 to December 2020 for MBBS, MD/MS, PDCC/PDF, DM/MCh/PhD courses, the convocation will be on August 19 at 9:30 hours. For the period between January 2021 to July 2022 for courses MBBS, MD/MS, PDCC/PDF, DM/MCh/PhD courses, the convocation will be held on August 20 at 9:30 hours and for the period between June 2019 to February 2022 for BSc, BASLP, PGD, PBDN, MPH, MSc courses, the convocation event will be organised on August 21 at 9:30 hours. For each of these convocation events, the rehearsal of respective batches will be done one day prior to the event.

Only awardees allowed during convocation: JIPMER

The official notification stated that only the students who will receive degrees and endowment prizes will be allowed inside the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam JIPMER Auditorium due to a large number of degree awardees. Parents and others will not be allowed inside. However, JIPMER will provide an online link to family members to witness the convocation function on each of these days. 

JIPMER's official notification reads, "Students who passed in the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 and have already collected their degrees are not required to bring these for the convocation. However, endowment prize medals must be deposited with the stage arrangement committee prior to the rehearsal, so that these may be distributed during the convocation."

"Kindly note that only those students who are present for the rehearsal will be permitted to participate in the convocation function," added the notification.
