Kalvi Tholaikatchi starts broadcasting AV classes for NEET preparation
Students residing in Tamil Nadu not having access to sophisticated coaching institutes can now prepare for NEET by watching TV. Kalvi Tholaikatchi starts broadcasting lectures for NEET preparation.
Tamil Nadu’s educational channel, Kalvi Tholaikatchi, has started telecasting pre-recorded classes to help candidates prepare for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Kalvi Tholaikatchi is available on five cable TV platforms in Tamil Nadu including the state-owned TACTV. However, to widen the reach of this channel, the school education department is also working on a mobile application.
These audio-video lessons have been prepared by the teachers working in the government schools of Tamil Nadu. The first lesson for NEET 2020 preparation was telecasted on Wednesday, May 20. The aim to start broadcasting these lessons via the medium of television was to benefit those who cannot afford coaching for NEET preparation.
These lectures will be bilingual so as to benefit students from all classes. According to the sources, about 200 lectures have been planned for this initiative. These will be recorded in 17 districts of the state, compiled, edited and will be telecasted accordingly.
