Lady Hardinge Medical College's (LHMC) resident doctors have written to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya regarding the non-payment of salary during the strike period and have requested him to intervene in the matter.

The letter reads, "We the residents of LHMC would like to draw your kind attention to our concern of deduction of salary and leaves adjusted during month December 2020. LHMC resident with other resident of all over India participated in strike with demand of immediate NEET PG counselling. The strike was called off after verbal assurances given by the ministry that no punitive actions will be taken, no salary deduction and no absent will be marked during this period."

We have several time contacted with LHMC administration but all in vain. We the resident of LHMC and associated hospital request you to kindly look into the matter urgently and required intervention to be implemented immediately so that resident doctors have suffered already very much during COVID period will get justice," the letter added.
