MDNIY invites applications for Post of Director

The applications are invited within 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar i.E. January 20, 2024.

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), an autonomous organization under Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, invited applications for the post of Director. The post is to be filled up by Deputation (including short term contact) failing which by Contract for a tenure of 5 years or till filling up the post in Level-14 or till the incumbent attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.

The scale of pay/grade pay is Level-13 in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC plus allowances as admissible as per the Central Govt. The age limit for recruitment is not exceeding 55 years (Relaxable up to 58 years in case of the person from the Central Government or Autonomous Bodies).

The duties and responsibilities include to act as "Chief Executive Officer of MDNIY, to see overall adminstration and its affairs for proper management, to exercise powers as laid down down in the bye laws of the institute as the powers of the Director, to function as the Member Secretary of various bodies of MDNIY, to exercise financial and administrative powers as may be delegated by the Governing Council.

A workshop was conducted on January 20 for the students of the FCYScW Offline, Online & Weekend batches and Weekend Basic Course in Shatkarma Practices to enhance their knowledge and practical components of Yoga. 

The workshop focused on:Shatkriya (yogic cleansing practices) took place under the supervision of Yoga Instructor at MDNIY: Ms. Aishvarya Laxmi, Sh. Neel Kamal, Sh. Arjun Naidu, Ms. Upma Singh. Additionally, a guest lecture was also conducted. 

This was followed by a session on Yog Nidra. The overall coordination of the workshop was done under the guidance of Vinay Bharti, Yoga Therapist & In-charge of FCYScW.
