Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the revised schedule for NEET 2020 Counselling stray vacancy round considering the extension of the admission deadline in MBBS Course for the academic session 2020-21. According to the official reports, the extension is in compliance with the NMC orders. MCC via its official notice stated, “As per Letter NMC letter dated 24.12.2020 the last date of admission in MBBS Course for the academic session 2020-21 has been extended till 15^th January 2021.”

The current rules suggest that the last date of admission in MBBS Course for the academic session 2020-21 is August 31, 2020, while the last date of admission in Super Speciality medical course for the academic session 2020-21 is also August 31, 2020. However, considering the pandemic situation, the entrance exams for these courses in the month of October 2020, with the counselling still on. Considering the circumstances, NMC decided to file applications in the Hon’ble SC praying for the extension of the last date of MBBS Admissions for the academic year 2020-21 from August 31 to January 15, 2021.

As the same has now been extended, MCC in its notification released the revised schedule for stray vacancy round. All the candidates interested in MBBS and BDS admissions are advised to the details mentioned in the official notice released by the counselling authority for all the future admission purposes.
