NEET 2021 Counselling Process to Begin Soon
Candidates who had appeared and qualified for NEET 2021 are gearing up for the MBBS and BDS counselling process. The NEET 2021 counselling dates will be released on mcc.nic.in, the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee. The official website of MCC was updated a day prior to the declaration of the NEET 2021 result, which was released on November 1. At present, MCC has not yet released the Information Bulletin, counselling dates or seat matrix. It is likely that these information will be announced on mcc.nic.in the second week of November.
As many as 8,70,074 candidates have qualified for NEET 2021. A total of three test-takers scored the full marks, i.e. 720. MCC will conduct centralised counselling for 15 per cent All India Quota and 100 per cent including 85 per cent State quota seats of Central Institutions (ABVIMS & RML Hospital/VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital/ESIC)/ Central Universities (including DU/ BHU /AMU)/ AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities, will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical/Dental Courses.
The counselling for the All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds. The seats left vacant after the first round will be carried forward to the second round. However, the seats left vacant after the second round of NEET counselling 2021 will be transferred to the respective state quota. The seats left vacant in the AIQ quota of Deemed Universities/ Central Universities/ ESIC colleges will be filled through a mop-up round of NEET 2021 counselling. The remaining seats (if any) will be filled in the institutional round/stray round of NEET counselling.
Steps for NEET Counselling 2021
Qualified NEET candidates will have to follow the steps given below to participate in the MBBS and BDS counselling process conducted by MCC,

Candidates have to fill in details such as their name, registration number, personal details, academic details and the details mentioned on their NEET result

This has to be followed by payment of the NEET 2021 counselling fee

After completing the registration process, the candidates need to fill in the choices by logging into the registered account on the MCC portal

Based on the AIR obtained in NEET 2021 and the choices filled in the registration form, a seat allocation list will be prepared and uploaded on mcc.nic.in

Candidates who will be allocated a seat in counselling of NEET 2021 will have to report to the allocated institute for verification of documents and confirmation of the seat. If candidates accept the seat that has been allocated to them but fail to report to the allocated institute before the given deadline, their candidature will be cancelled.
Documents Required for NEET 2021 Counselling
The following documents have to be presented for verification during the NEET 2021 counselling rounds by the candidates:

Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof

6-8 passport-sized photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the NEET 2020 application form)

Provisional allotment letter
There are a total of 83,075 MBBS seats, 27,285 BDS seats, 52,720 BAMS and 525 BVSc & AH seats.
