NEET 2021: Education Minister Likely to Update on Exam Date Today
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Minister will be answering student queries at a live social media interactive session on June 25, 4 pm onwards. It is expected that he will throw some light on the NEET 2021 dates.
The National Testing Agency (NTA). The conducting body of NEET 2021 has not yet released the online application form. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, chances of the exam getting postponed from the original schedule of August 1 is also high. This uncertain situation has raised the anxiety levels among students, fueled by the silence from the officials.
To throw some light on the pertinent questions on the status of NEET 2021, as well as other exams which have been postponed such as JEE Main and CBSE Board exams, Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal โNishankโ will be live on his social media handles today, i.e. June 25, to interact with students from 4 pm onwards.
Although in his official quote the Union Minister states that he would take questions on the CBSE Board exams, it is apparent that students will also seek updates on the status of NEET 2021 and other national level entrance exams that have been postponed, or not announced yet. Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is likely to bring some clarity in this regard as well.
With little over 30 days remaining from August 1, and the NEET application process still not in place, it is logistically difficult to conduct the exam on the said date. According to some national dailies, sources from NTA have said that NEET 2021 is likely to be postponed to September.
It is expected that NTA will release the latest notification of NEET 2021 by the fourth week of June on its official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
