NEET 2021 Latest News: SC to hear NTA's plea against Bombay HC order today
The Supreme Court of India will today hear the petition filed by NTA against the Bombay High Court order that halted the NEET 2021 result declaration.
National Testing Agency (NTA) had filed a petition in Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court order that halted the declaration of NEET 2021 results. NEET 2021 latest news is that the Supreme Court of India will hear this petition today.
Two NEET 2021 candidates had alleged in the Bombay High Court that when they appeared in NEET UG 2021 on September 12, their booklets and sheets got mixed at the examination centre. On this, the Bombay High Court had directed NTA to conduct a fresh NEET examination for these two candidates and declare the results along with the results of other NEET 2021 candidates.
As per NEET 2021 latest news, NTA has informed the apex court that they are ready with the NEET 2021 results but unable to declare it due to Bombay High Court order. NTA also said in their appeal to the apex court that the delay in the NEET 2021 results declaration will also result in further delay in the admission processes for undergraduate medical courses including MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery), BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery), BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) and BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery).
NTA said in its appeal to the apex court, βThe delay in declaration of Result of NEET (UG) 2021 will affect and further delay the subsequent process of admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS Courses.β
