Amid delay in NEET 2021 application form release dates due to the ongoing COVID 19 crisis, students are demanding to postpone the National level entrance exam until October.

Because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, many NEET 2021 aspirants around the country are requesting that the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 be postponed. A group of students has taken to Twitter to voice their concerns. Students are using the hashtag #postponeNEET2021 to insist that the exam be postponed.

The demand comes in the wake of a May 24 meeting between Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and state education ministers to review the conduct of NEET 2021 and other entrance exams. The medical entrance examination is scheduled for August 1, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet released application forms.

Numerous students have requested that NEET 2021 be postponed until October to give them time to prepare for the entrance exam and upcoming board exams. NEET aspirants are already class 12 students, and the majority of them are studying for their boards. With the confusion surrounding both the boards and the entrance test, students are demanding a satisfactory distance between the two tests.

Additionally, some Twitter users are asking the government to delay exams in light of the current pandemic crisis, claiming that it is difficult to focus on studies and is putting all students under mental strain.

Whereas another NEET candidate said that since the coaching centres are not open because of Covid-19, the self-study is not sufficient and time for the examinations is required.

The application form has yet to be issued while the NEET exam dates have been announced. The Education Ministry had also said earlier that in the medical test it should have alternatives or choices internally. The legal declaration said, โ€œunlike previous years, this year the candidates will have options to answer the questions in JEE and NEET" although any definite NEET 2021 exam pattern has not been released.
