NEET 2022 postpone demand is still underway in full throttle as aspirants submitted a 19-page Memorandum to the Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Mansukh Mandaviya. The Memorandum carries a compilation of the issues faced by aspirants and the list of reasons for their urge to defer the exam by at least a month. The Memorandum states that with the announcement of NEET 2022 on April 6, aspirants got less than 100 days to prepare for the test. The conduct of NEET 2021 counselling till April and scheduling of other national level entrance exams have led to stress and anxiety among students.

Even though one week is left for the exam, students are hopeful about NEET 2022 getting postponed and are not leaving any stone unturned to grab the authorities’ attention and get the exam deferred by 40 to 60 days. Since the NEET 2022 admit card is not released yet, there is still a chance to get their demand fulfilled.

Will NTA Postpone NEET 2022?

Responding to an RTI request, NTA had earlier stated that the exam will be conducted as per the slated schedule. In fact, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that NEET 2022 will be conducted as per schedule since over 18 lakh candidates have registered and most of the students are prepared for the test. Hence, it would be unfair to postpone the exam.

To protest against the Minister’s statement and to intensify the protest, some of the aspirants have started a hunger strike from July 5 onwards. They are also utilising social media platforms with hashtags such as #PMOHelpNEETUGAspirants, #MODIJIextendNEETUG, #PRADHANjidferNEETUG, to name a few.

The NEET 2022 hall ticket is expected to be released in the second week of July. The advance intimation to NEET exam centre city was released on June 28.
