NEET 2022 was held on July 17, from 2 pm to 5.20 pm and National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET 2022 result on September 7, 2022. NEET 2022 answer keys will be released on August 30, along with candidates' OMR sheets. The candidates would be given the opportunity to submit objections against one or more answer keys by paying INR 200 for each objection.

The latest is NTA will conduct a NEET 2022 retest for candidates affected in Kerala due to inappropriate frisking, and the Hindi medium candidates of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh who received English question papers instead of Hindi. The retest will be held on September 4.

NEET 2022 counselling process

Once the NEET 2022 result will be declared on September 7, the counselling process for NEET 2022 will commence within a month of the declaration of the results. The NEET UG 2022 counselling will be for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85% State Quota seats. The conducting body for NEET 2022 counselling for AIQ seats will be Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). There will be four rounds of counselling - Round 1, Round 2, mop-up round and stray-vacancy round. 

After the MCC will release the NEET 2022 counselling notification, the qualified candidates will have to register by filling up the form, uploading the necessary documents and paying the registration fee. The NEET UG 2022 candidates can next do the choice filling and locking. After the NEET 2022 seat allocation order is released, the candidates must download it and report to the institute and complete the admission formalities.

If a candidate does not accept the seat in Round 1 of NEET UG 2022 counselling, they can participate in Round 2 of counselling and if they are not allotted a seat in both rounds, they will be eligible to participate in the mop-up and stray-vacancy rounds.
