NEET 2023 Counselling Choice Filling and Locking Last Date Extended Till July 27

NEET 2023 counselling choice filling and locking last date has been extended from July 26 to July 27. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date since the scrutiny of applicants willing to convert nationality from Indian to NRI is still ongoing.

NEET 2023 counselling choice filling and locking last date has been extended from July 26 to July 27. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified the extension of the last date of choice filling and locking on July 26 evening. According to MCC, the date has been extended owing to the fact that the scrutiny of candidates who have applied for nationality conversion from Indian to NRI is still going on.

Commenting on the reason for the extension, MCC has stated, "Candidates who have sent applications for conversion of their nationality from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ are hereby informed that scrutiny of NRI applications is still going on due to large number of applications received by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS. The list of eligible candidates will be uploaded by 11:00 A.M of 27.07.2023."

MCC has added, "Accordingly, to provide adequate time for candidates to exercise choices, the time for Choice Filling is being extended till 11:55 P.M of 27.07.2023. The Choice Locking will be effective from 03:00 P.M of 27.07.2023 upto 11:55 P.M of 27.07.2023."

The choice filling process for NEET counselling 2023 Round 1 commenced on July 22. The registration process was conducted from July 20 to July 25. Prior to the commencement of the NEET 2023 counselling Round 1 registration process, MCC invited application for conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI.

MCC has not announced any other change in the NEET counselling 2023 dates for Round 1. As per the schedule, the seat allotment result will be declared on July 29 and candidates will have to upload documents at MCC portal on July 30. The institute reporting process for Round 1 is scheduled to be conducted from July 31 to August 4.
