NEET 2023 Counselling: MCC Releases List of Eligible NRI Candidates for Round 1

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the list of eligible NRI candidates for Round 1. The list consists of the names of 679 candidates who had applied for conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI. Meanwhile, the NEET 2023 counselling Round 1 choice filling and locking process will conclude today, July 27, 11.55 PM.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the list of eligible NRI candidates for Round 1. The list consists of names of 679 candidates who had applied for conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI. MCC has stated, “Candidates have been converted provisionally from INDIAN to NRI for the purpose of UG counselling 2023-24 on the basis of scrutiny of documents sent by them to MCC of DGHS. However, the candidates have to produce the same original documents at the time of Reporting in case NRI seat is allotted to them, failing which their admission is liable to get cancelled.”

How to Check NRI Allotment Status

Candidates will have to check their status of nationality conversion by following the steps given below:

• Visit the MCC website – www.mcc.nic.in

• Click on the tab ‘NRI List of Eligible Candidates For UG Round 1’ under the News & Events section

• Download the list in PDF format

• Find your name or Roll Number to check whether your nationality has been converted to NRI.

MCC had invited emails from candidates wishing to convert their nationality to NRI on July 19, wherein it was mentioned that the last date to send the requisite documents was July 21. The list of documents was also given in the notice.

The registration process for the Round 1 of NEET Counselling 2023 was conducted from July 20 to July 25. The choice filling and locking processes will conclude on July 27, at 11.55 PM. The seat allotment result will be declared on July 29.
