NEET 2023 counselling Round 1 choice filling and locking process is scheduled to conclude today, July 26. The choice filling process had started on July 22. The choice locking has to be done today, between 3 PM and 11.55 PM. The Round 1 registration process for NEET 2023 counselling was conducted from July 20 to July 25. Know the details here.

NEET 2023 Counselling Round 1 Choice Filling and Locking to End Today

The NEET 2023 counselling Round 1 choice filling and locking process is ending today, July 26 at 11.55 PM. The choice filling process commenced on July 22. The choice locking process has to be completed today, between 3 PM and 11.55 PM. MCC released the seat matrix for Deemed Universities and AIQ seats. The BSc Nursing seat matrix was not released for Round 1 NEET counselling 2023 and will be available for Round 2.

Prior to locking the choices, candidates must ensure that they have chosen the colleges and courses carefully as modifications will not be allowed in the choice locking process for NEET counselling 2023. Unless they lock the choices, MCC will consider the last saved order of preference.

How to Fill Choices for NEET Counselling 2023

Candidates will have to follow the below steps to fill choices for NEET UG counselling 2023:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab and click on ‘Sign in’

  • Enter the NEET UG 2023 Roll Number, Password and Security Pin

  • Click on the link ‘Available Choices’.

  • On clicking the “Choice Filling” icon, the choices as per individual criteria of eligibility would be displayed to the candidate on the left side basket and on clicking the button for the required choice, it will be selected. The choice chosen will be removed from the left basket and gets added to right basket.

  • Candidates will have to click on the ‘Save & Continue’ tab.

  • Candidates may change the order of preference of choices by clicking on the Upper Arrow ./button to move up, Down Arrow button to move down and the Delete button to delete the pre-selected choice of institutes.

  • The choice Interchange (Swapping) could be carried out by selecting appropriate choices as source and destination to enable their swapping and reorder all the choices.

  • If a candidate desires to delete a specific or a group of choices, the candidate can click the appropriate box, for deletion of the one choice. Further, if the candidate, desires to delete multiple choices, in one go, he/she can click the appropriate boxes for deletion and confirm the same, so that all unwanted choices could be deleted by this operation.

How to Do Choice Locking Process for NEET Counselling 2023

Candidates have to follow the steps given below to complete the choice locking process:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in

  • Click on the tab ‘Online Registration’ at the bottom of the page

  • Log in with the registration credentials

  • Click on the tab indicating Choice Filling

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit

  • Click on the lock button

  • If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per the schedule

  • Take a printout of the locked choices

The Round 1 registration process for NEET 2023 counselling was conducted from July 20 to July 25. MCC will process the seats from July 27 to July 28 and the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on July 29. After this, candidates will have to upload documents on the MCC portal. The institute reporting process will be held from July 31 to August 4.
