NEET 2023 counselling process will begin tomorrow, July 20. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the information bulletin. Candidates who have qualified for the NEET 2023 exam and will be participating in the MCC NEET counselling 2023 must go through this page to know the pertinent information regarding the NEET 2023 counselling process.

MCC will conduct the NEET 2023 counselling process for admission to MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses offered at Central and Deemed Universities, AIIMS and JIPMER institutes and other private institutes under the purview of 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

NEET 2023 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the NEET 2023 counselling process, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

  • They must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)

  • They must be registered on the official website of MCC

  • All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities

How to Register for NEET 2023 Counselling

The registration process for NEET 2023 counselling will be completely online. Eligible candidates will have to follow the below steps to complete the registration process.

  • Candidates need to register on the official website of MCC – www.mcc.nic.in 

  • Click on the 'Online Registration' tab.

  • Enter the NEET 2023 Roll Number, Password and Security Pin

  • Candidates needed to fill in details such as their name, registration number, personal details, academic details and the details mentioned on their NEET result

Candidates must ensure that they fill their personal and communication details exactly the same as they did during the NEET 2023 application process conducted by NTA. For their convenience and safety, MCC has advised them to refer to the NEET 2023 application form filled up by them to avoid unwarranted errors.

Documents Required to be Uploaded for NEET 2023 Counselling

Candidates will have to upload documents after the declaration of the seat allotment result. The list of documents that will have to be uploaded, as well as the hard copy which must be carried to institutes during the reporting process is given below.

  • Seat Allotment Letter issued by MCC

  • NEET 2023 result/scorecard

  • Date of Birth Certificate

  • Class 10 Pass Certificate

  • Class 12 Pass Certificate

  • Eight passport size photograph (same as affixed on the application form)

  • Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)

  • Category/Reservation Certificate (if applicable)

Documents Required for NRI and OCI Candidates

For NRI candidates following documents are mandatory:

  • Passport copy of sponsorer, embassy certificate

  • Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsorer is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)

  • Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsorer)

  • For OCI/PIO/Foreign national candidates citizenship certificate/ card documents are mandatory,

Unlike last year, MCC is conducting registration process for all four rounds. Till last year, candidates were not given the chance to register for the fourth or the Stray Vacancy round. Moreover, till last year, candidates had to upload the documents during the registration process. This year, they have to upload documents after the seat allotment result is declared.

Meanwhile, candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI can apply for the same between July 19 and July 21, 10 AM. They will be given provisional NRI status and they will not be able to avail benefits meant for reserved or minority category candidates.
