NEET 2023 Counselling: Special Stray Vacancy Round Result Out
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for NEET 2023 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. The result has been declared on November 10. Know the details here.
NEET 2023 counselling registration for the Special Stray Vacancy round has started on October 31 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The last date of application was extended from November 5 to November 7. The seat allotment result has been declared on November 10. The institute reporting process will be conducted till November 15. According to MCC, this is the last and final round of counselling for all courses, namely, MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing.

Announcing the same, MCC has stated, โAll the NEET UG 2023 eligible candidates are hereby informed that to prevent wastage of precious medical seats, MoHFW approached the Honโble Supreme Court for extension of last date of admission of under graduate courses and to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant MBBS/BDS /BSc Nursing Seats of AIQ and State Quota. It is pertinent to mention that this Special Stray Vacancy Round will be the last round for under graduate courses for this academic year i.e 2023.โ

Salient Features of NEET 2023 Counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round
MCC has laid down the following guidelines for participating in the NEET 2023 Special Stray Vacancy round.
- Candidates who are not holding any seat either in All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round. However, candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC Round-3 onwards are โNot Eligibleโ to participate.
- The Security Deposit of candidates who would not join their allotted seat in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited and such candidates will be debarred from taking NEET exam for the next year.
- The data of ALLOTTED CANDIDATES of special stray vacancy round conducted by MCC will be shared with states and candidates who are allotted seats by MCC will be debarred from taking admission in state counselling.
MCC also provided candidates to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI by sending filled up application form via email between October 31 and November 1, 12 noon.
Prior to this, MCC had conducted Round 5 of NEET 2023 counselling for BDS and BSc Nursing courses. The registration, choice filling and locking rounds were conducted from October 25 to October 26, but the result was not declared on October 28, the scheduled date. Instead, MCC announced the Special Stray Vacancy round of NEET 2023 counselling for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses.
