The NEET 2024 result and final answer keys will be released on June 14, 2024.

Candidates are advised to compare the NTA NEET answer keys with the unofficial answer keys released by coaching institutes. In case there is any discrepancy, candidates can decide to submit challenges. 

Here we bring an analysis of the AIIMS Jodhpur MBBS Cutoff of the past few years:

• The closing rank in AIIMS Jodhpur cutoff for the General category decreased by 147 rank from 2021(649 rank) to 2022 (502 rank). However, the closing rank increased by 32 ranks in 2023(534 ranks). 
• The AIIMS Jodhpur cutoff for OBC recorded a continuous decrease in the closing rank from 1242 rank (2021) to 1162 rank (2022) and finally stood at 1086 rank (2023).
• AIIMS Jodhpur cutoff for the SC category reduced from 8953 ranks in 2021 to 5745 rank in 2022. However, in 2023 the cutoff increased by 480 ranks and stood at 6225 rank in 2023.

NTA has not specified the reason for extending the last date of the NEET 2024 answer key and OMR sheet submission. However, given the fact that candidates faced difficulties in accessing or challenging the answer keys or OMR sheet, NTA decided to extend the date for their convenience.

NTA has extended the last date to submit challenges against the NEET 2024 answer key and OMR sheet till June 1, 2024, 11 AM.

The procedure to submit challenges against the NEET 2024 OMR sheet are given below:

NEET 2024 candidates continue to demand a retest given the controversies reported. However, NTA has not given any indication about conducting a retest for NEET 2024. 

With a few hours left to submit NEET 2024 answer key and OMR sheet challenges, several candidates are facing trouble in the process and tried to reach out to the NTA Helpline. However, the numbers are either not reachable or appear to be busy, which has increased the anxiety among them. 

Several candidates have complained that they are sensing a discrepancy in the OMR sheet displayed to them upon logging in. According to such candidates, despite showing correct Roll Number, the marked answers on the NEET 2024 OMR sheet seem to be different. Sample the post below.

NTA will release the final NEET 2024 answer keys on or around June 14, 2024, along with the result. 

NTA has laid down the following tie-breaking criteria for NEET 2024, which are listed below:

1. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by,
2. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
3. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the Test, followed by,
4. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test,
5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by
6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test, followed by
7. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test.

NTA has not stated a reason for considering a candidate 'Not Eligible' for downloading the NEET 2024 answer key or OMR sheets. In such a scenario, candidates are advised to contact NTA to seek clarification on this. The NTA NEET helpline numbers and email ids are given below:

Several candidates have received the message that they are not eligible to download the NEET 2024 answer key or OMR sheet while attempting to download the documents. There is no further explanation given by NTA regarding this. Check the comments below.

It is unlikely that NTA will extend the last date of submitting NEET 2024 answer key challenges. However, given the fact that some candidates have not received their OMrR sheets, and overseas candidates are not able to access or challenge the NEET 2024 provisional answer keys, there is a possibility that NTA will extend the last date to submit challenges against NEET OMR sheets and answer keys of 2024.

NEET 2024 result will be declared on Friday, June 14, 2024. The final NEET 2024 answer key will also be released around the same time by NTA.

In case candidates forget the NEET 2024 application number candidates will have to click on the 'Forgot Application Number'. Candidates have to enter their name, email ID and security code to retrieve the NEET 2024 application number.

Yes, 600 is a decent score and candidates who have scored more than 600 have higher chances of getting admission to the State's Government Medical College. A candidate belonging to the SC/ST category will surely get a higher rank in his category at 600 marks.

The total number of MBBS seats in India is 1,09,170, offered in 706 medical colleges.

A NEET score of 300 may not get you an MBBS or BDS seat, but you may get a BAMS/BUMS/BVSc & AH score with a score of 300.

The table below shows the marking scheme of NEET.

In case the NTA’s expert committee finds any of the challenges or objections valid after reviewing those, then marks will be awarded to all candidates. However, candidates will not be informed whether their challenge has been accepted or rejected.  If any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it will be addressed by NTA in the following manner: 

(i) Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)

(ii) Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).

(iii) Unanswered: No mark (0).

(iv) If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

(v) If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

(vi) If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

(vii) Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions.

After downloading the NEET official answer key 2024 by NTA, candidates should follow the steps given below to calculate their estimated scores.

• Compare each candidate's response to the subsequent answer key

• For each correct answer, add four marks

• For each incorrect answer, deduct one mark

• Candidates can also calculate the mark using the formula

NEET Score= (Total number of correct answers x 4) – (Total number of incorrect)

Candidates can pay the NEET 2024 answer key or OMR sheet challenge submission fee in online mode only. The three modes by which the fee amount of INR 200 has to be paid are as follows:

Till last year, candidates could pay the fee through Paytm as well, but this mode has been removed this year. 

After the NEET 2024 OMR sheet and provisional answer keys are released, several candidates found discrepancy on the OMR sheet and submitted challenge against it. Here we present one such post published on social media platform X.

No, it is not mandatory to submit challenges or objections against NEET 2024 provisional answer keys or OMR sheets. Only if a candidate finds a discrepancy in either documents, they should opt for it. 

Candidates are advised upload supporting documents substantiating the NEET 2024 answer key challenge, such as the solution of a question to prove that the answer key is wrong. In case candidates are challenging more than one question, then they should upload one document. They have to select the 'Choose File' option to upload the document in PDF format. 

Even though NTA has quashed the rumours of the alleged NEET 2024 question paper leak, students and stakeholders are demanding a retest. However, since the NEET 2024 answer keys have been released, it is unlikely that NTA will plan to reconduct NEET 2024. 

The NEET 2024 final answer key will be released on or around June 14, 2024, along with the result. NTA had stated earlier that the NEET 2024 result will be declared on June 14, 2024. 

Once the NEET 2024 final answer key is released, candidates will come to know whether their submitted challenges have been validated by NTA or not. Moreover, they may also check the answer options of questions which showed 5 as the correct answer option. For such questions, candidates will get a bonus of four marks. However, there is a caveat. In case all the answer options were wrong or the question itself was framed wrongly, every candidate would get full marks. On the other hand, if multiple answer options were found correct, then only those candidates who attempted the question would get marks.

No, there is no limit to submitting challenges against NEET 2024 provisional answer keys. Candidates can submit any number of NEET 2024 answer key challenges. 

Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject Experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the NEET 2024 Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all  the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key of NEET 2024, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final.

As per some media reports, the NEET 2024 answer keys and OMR sheets will be out in a couple of hours.

The NEET 2024 password can be easily retrieved. Even if someone forgets the password, they can revive it, or change it by following a few simple steps. The first option is to select the login option through the date of birth. Here, candidates will have to enter the username and the date of birth in the DD/MM/YY format. The other option is to click on the Forgot Password tab. A link will be sent to their registered email ID wherein they will have to click and change the password.

The total marks in the NEET exam is 720. Each question carries four marks and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. 

The total number of questions in NEET is 200. Out of this, candidates will have to attempt 180 questions. While all 35 questions are mandatory in Section A of each subject, in Section B, 10 out of 15 questions have to be attempted. 

In case there are multiple answers marked for one answer, in the NEET answer booklet, there is a chance that the answer will not be considered for evaluation, even if one of the selected answers is correct. Hence, candidates are advised to be careful in marking the answers on the OMR sheet of NEET 2024.

After the NEET 2024 exam was conducted, incidents of wrong question paper medium distribution, paper leaks and proxy exam takers were reported. Several people were arrested in allegations of NEET 2024 question paper leak. This led to unrest among the students and stakeholders and they are demanding a retest. However, NTA has not announced a retest. The exam conducting body released a statement, which mentioned that the exam was conducted smoothly, except for an isolated incident. "It has been ascertained from NTA's security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures that the Social Media Posts pointing towards any paper leak are completely baseless and without any ground. To put rumours to rest, it is also stated that every single Question Paper (QP) has been accounted for. Further, it is also to be noted that after the gates of the Examination Centres are closed, no one from outside is permitted access inside the Halls which are under CCTV surveillance," stated NTA.
