NEET 2024 Counselling Process to Commence Tomorrow
The NEET 2024 counselling process will commence tomorrow, August 14, 2024 onwards. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the online registration form for the admission to 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing, along with the information bulletin.
Candidates willing to participate in the NEET UG 2024 counselling process must be prepared to complete the registration process and the other steps such as choice filling and locking as and when the window opens. NEET 2024 Counselling Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to participate in the NEET 2024 counselling process are as follows:
- Candidates must have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)
- They must be citizens of India
- They must have attained or would attain 17 years of age as of December 31, 2024
- All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities

NEET 2024 Counselling Documents Required
Candidates must keep the following documents ready for uploading to the NEET counselling 2024 registration form, which will also be required during the institute reporting process.
- NEET Admit Card 2024
- NEET 2024 scorecard
- Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof
- Passport-sized photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the NEET 2024 application form)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Provisional allotment letter

The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories, central or national, and state counselling. The central counselling for NEET is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC. On the other hand, State Authorities or the Education Department of various states conduct NEET state counselling for the 85 per cent state quota seats. There were three MBBS seats for allotment in this round.
The NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 was conducted from December 9 to December 16, 2024. While the payment and choice filling could be done from December 9 to December 10, the seat allotment result was declared on December 12, 2024. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 12 to December 16, 2024.
The NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round 1 counselling was conducted from November 20 to November 30, 2024. The payment process was conducted from November 20 to November 21, 2024. The choice filling and locking rounds were held from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The provisional seat allotment result was declared on November 22, 2024, and the final result was declared on November 23, 2024, followed by the institute reporting process from November 25 to November 30, 2024.
MCC conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling process started on October 22 and October 23 respectively. The last dates of registration and choice filling and locking were extended till October 27 from October 25 and October 26 respectively. The provisional and final result was released on October 29 and October 30, 2024, respectively.
The Round 3 was conducted from October 3 to October 19, 2024.
