The NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 institute reporting process has been extended till August 31, 2024. The original last date of reporting was August 29, 2024. Announcing the extension, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has stated, “It is for the information to all concerned that keeping in view the requests being received from candidates/ institutes the competent authority has decided to extend the Reporting for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2024 upto 05:00 P.M of 31.08.2024 (Saturday).”

The NEET counselling 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result was declared on August 25, 2024, and the institute reporting process began on the same day. The last date has been extended by two days.

Documents Required for NEET 2024 Institute Reporting Process

Candidates reporting to the allocated institute for confirmation of the seat had to carry the following documents with them:

  • NEET Admit Card 2024
  • NEET 2024 scorecard
  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
  • Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof
  • Six to eight passport-sized photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the NEET 2024 application form)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Provisional allotment letter

*Candidates have to carry both original and photocopies of the above-mentioned documents for the institute reporting or document verification rounds.

The Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2024 will begin on September 5, 2024, with the registration process.

Q:   When did NEET 2024 counselling process begin?

A:

NEET 2024 counselling dates were announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 29, 2024. The counselling process started on August 14, 2024, and will conclude on December 30, 2024. NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 was conducted from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The Round 3 was conducted from October 2 to October 19, 2024. The Round 2 registration process began on September 5, 2024 and reopened from September 13 to September 16, 2024. The Round 1 was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. MCC revised the dates on September 13, 2024, with the reopening of the registration process of Round 2 due to the change in seat matrix. As per the revised dates, the last date of the counselling is November 5, 2024. The number of rounds may get extended depending on the number of vacant seats. The state medical authorities will conduct the counselling process for the 85 per cent state quota seats. The dates for counselling were different for the national level and state level admission processes. There will be four to six rounds of NEET counselling, which is the gateway for admission to medical and allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BSc Nursing.  

Q:   What is the current scenario of NEET UG Counselling 2024?

A:

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 3 from December 23 to December 30, 2024. The provisional and final results were declared on December 24 and December 25. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 25 to December 30, 2024. There were three MBBS seats for allotment in this round. 

The NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 was conducted from December 9 to December 16, 2024. While the payment and choice filling could be done from December 9 to December 10, the seat allotment result was declared on December 12, 2024. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 12 to December 16, 2024.

The NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round 1 counselling was conducted from November 20 to November 30, 2024. The payment process was conducted from November 20 to November 21, 2024. The choice filling and locking rounds were held from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The provisional seat allotment result was declared on November 22, 2024, and the final result was declared on November 23, 2024, followed by the institute reporting process from November 25 to November 30, 2024.

MCC conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling process started on October 22 and October 23 respectively. The last dates of registration and choice filling and locking were extended till October 27 from October 25 and October 26 respectively. The provisional and final result was released on October 29 and October 30, 2024, respectively.

The Round 3 was conducted from October 3 to October 19, 2024. 

The NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 concluded on September 27, 2024. The round started on September 13, 2024.

The Round 1 of NEET 2024 counselling was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. 

MCC had announced that the NEET 2024 counselling dates on July 29, 2024. As of now, four rounds of counselling has been announced, which will conclue on November 5, 2024. The total number of rounds may vary based on the number of vacant seats. Ahead of the commencement of the NEET 2024 counselling process, 

Q:   Is it necessary to join allotted Medical/Dental College of Round 1 to get chance to participate in Round 2 of NEET counselling?

A:
No, candidates need not report or join the allotted college of NEET counselling Round 1 since there is free exit. However if they want to retain the Round 1 seat and upgrade in Round 2 they have to physically join the college of Round 1 and give up-gradation willingness for Round 2 at the time of admission. In case candidates decide to resign the seat allotted to them in the first round, then they can do so prior to registering in the next round of NEET counselling.
