The NEET 2024 counselling process has begun on August 14, 2024, with the Round 1 registration process. The last date of registration is August 20, 2024. The process is completely online. Only candidates eligible for the NEET 2024 counselling and qualified for the exam can register for the NEET UG counselling 2024, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC has also released the information bulletin for the NEET 2024 counselling on the official website, before releasing the registration form.

How to Register for NEET 2024 Counselling Process
Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to register for the MCC NEET 2024 counselling process:
- Visit the official website of NEET UG counselling – mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/
- Click on ‘New Registration’ link under ‘Candidate Activity Board’
- Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’
- Read the instructions
- Enter the mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, parent’s name, date of birth and security code
- Select the password
- The credentials will be generated and sent to the registered email address
- Complete the registration form by entering personal, educational, NEET 2024 result and other details and uploading of scanned photograph and signature
- Pay the registration fee and take a print out of the registration confirmation page

The registration fee has to be paid in online mode, through Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. Only those candidates who will complete the NEET 2024 counselling registration process will be able to complete the choice filling and locking processes.
MCC is conducting the NEET 2024 counselling process for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses.

The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories, central or national, and state counselling. The central counselling for NEET is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC. The NEET counselling process conducted by MCC is for the admission to the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. On the other hand, State Authorities or the Education Department of various states conduct NEET state counselling for the 85 per cent state quota seats. MCC conducts the NEET counselling for MBBS BDS and B.Sc. Nursing courses. On the other hand, the State Counselling Authorities conduct the admission process for MBBS BDS BAMS, BHMS, and other medical or allied courses.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 3 from December 23 to December 30, 2024. The provisional and final results were declared on December 24 and December 25. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 25 to December 30, 2024. There were three MBBS seats for allotment in this round.
The NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 was conducted from December 9 to December 16, 2024. While the payment and choice filling could be done from December 9 to December 10, the seat allotment result was declared on December 12, 2024. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 12 to December 16, 2024.
The NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round 1 counselling was conducted from November 20 to November 30, 2024. The payment process was conducted from November 20 to November 21, 2024. The choice filling and locking rounds were held from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The provisional seat allotment result was declared on November 22, 2024, and the final result was declared on November 23, 2024, followed by the institute reporting process from November 25 to November 30, 2024.
MCC conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling process started on October 22 and October 23 respectively. The last dates of registration and choice filling and locking were extended till October 27 from October 25 and October 26 respectively. The provisional and final result was released on October 29 and October 30, 2024, respectively.
The Round 3 was conducted from October 3 to October 19, 2024.
The NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 concluded on September 27, 2024. The round started on September 13, 2024.
The Round 1 of NEET 2024 counselling was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024.
MCC had announced that the NEET 2024 counselling dates on July 29, 2024. As of now, four rounds of counselling has been announced, which will conclue on November 5, 2024.
