In addition to the reopening of the NEET 2024 counselling choice filling window on August 22, 2024, and withdrawal of 48 MBBS and BSc Nursing seats, there are a few more reasons for postponing the seat allotment result.
Firstly, there is a withdrawal of four more MBBS seats from the Sri Krishna Medical College, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and a revision of the Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces (CW) category by the Delhi University on August 23, 2024.
Citing the reason for postponing the NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 seat allotment result, MCC has stated, “The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS has received information from the following Institute on 23.08.2024 to remove the following seats from the seat matrix of Round-1 of UG Counselling 2024 which were inadvertently contributed in the seat matrix by the college. Also, information has been received from Delhi University on 23.08.2024 regarding publishing of revised CW list. In this regard, the result of Round-I of NEET UG counselling 2024 which was scheduled to be declared today i.e., 23.08.2024 is being postponed and is expected to be published tomorrow i.e., 24.08.2024.”
