NEET 2024 Paper Leak Case: CBI Arrests Two More Key Accused From Bihar and Jharkhand
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more key accused persons from Bihar and Jharkhand today, July 16, 2024. The first arrest made is of Pankaj Kumar or Aditya, from Patna, Bihar. The second arrest has been made from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, of Raju Singh.

A 2017-batch engineer from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, Kumar allegedly stole NEET 2024 question papers from NTAโs trunk in Hazaribagh. He is a resident of Bokaro, Jharkhand.
His associate, who helped him in the stealing of the question papers, has also been arrested by the CBI team. Identified as Raju Singh, Kumarโs associate not only stole the question papers but also passed them on to other gang members, who further spread it among MBBS students to solve the questions. Singh was arrested from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
The total number of arrests made by CBI in the NEET 2024 paper leak case has now reached 14. A few days ago, CBI had arrested another accused identified as Rakesh Ranjan, or Rocky. He was the mastermind behind the NEET 2024 paper leak in Patnaโs Kanti Factory Road. He was produced in the Special CBI Court last Thursday which remanded him in a 10-day custody.
On June 27, the CBI made its first arrests in the NEET-UG paper leak case and detained two men from Bihar. After that, several arrests have been made across India, from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court hearing on the various pleas regarding NEET 2024 is scheduled for July 18, 2024.
