CBI has arrested Aman Singh of Jharkhand in accusation of being the key conspirator of the NEET 2024 paper leak case in the state. This marks the seventh arrest by CBI in this case. Earlier, six people were arrested from Jharkhand, Bihar and Gujarat.

CBI Arrests Jharkhand's Aman Singh on NEET Paper Leak Case

The Central Board of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Aman Singh, Hazaribagh Jharkhand’s key conspirator of the NEET 2024 paper leak case on Wednesday. According to an ANI report, Singh was arrested from Dhanbad after the CBI team received a tip off.

This marks the seventh arrest by CBI in the NEET 2024 paper leak row. Before this, six arrests were made in Jharkhand, Bihar and Gujarat.

Previous Arrests by CBI on NEET 2024 Paper Leak Case

Earlier, three other conspirators of the NEET UG 2024 paper leak were arrested from Hazaribagh, who were identified as Jamaluddin, a journalist working at a Hindi newspaper, Dr Ehsanhul Haque, Oasis School Principal and Imtiaz Alam, Vice Principal, Oasis School.

Last week, a 12-member CBI team visited Hazaribagh and interrogated Dr Haque and other staff members of the Oasis School. Based on the investigation, CBI made arrests.

Prior to that, Manish Prakash and Ashutosh Kumar from Patna were arrested. They had helped arrange accommodation in the Khemnichak locality of Patna, where the leaked NEET 2024 question papers were distributed among 20 to 25 students on the eve of the exam to memorise the answers.

On Sunday, CBI arrested Dixit Patel, owner of Jay Jalram School in Godhra, Gujarat, for allegedly soliciting INR 5 lakh and INR 10 lakh from candidates in lieu of aiding to enhance the NEET 2024 score.
