NEET Counselling 2023: MCC Issues Notice for Candidates Willing to Convert Nationality to NRI
MCC has announced that candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI should apply for the same between July 19 and July 21. They will have to send an email to MCC in the requisite format along with the necessary documents at the given email address. Know the details here.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued notice for candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI. Such candidates will have to send an email to MCC with the requisite document proving their nationality between July 19, 10 AM to July 21, 10 AM.
In the notice, MCC has stated, “It is for the information to all the candidates that those who are claiming to be NRI should send their relevant documents as mentioned below, in support of their claim to change nationality from Indian to NRI through e-mail ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com.”
MCC adds, “Mails received before/ after the stipulated time will not be considered. Candidates are advised to send all documents enclosed in single mail only, within the stipulated time.”

List of Documents Required for Nationality Conversion to NRI
The following documents have to be uploaded in the email in the following order:

Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).

Relationship of NRI with the candidate.

Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarised.

Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).

NEET Score Card of the candidate.
Conditions Levied by MCC for Candidates Willing to Convert Nationality to NRI
MCC has laid down the following conditions for candidates who are willing to change nationality to NRI:

Candidates must have appeared and qualified for NEET 2023

Once the category is changed, candidates will not be able to avail the benefit under Muslim Minority quota/Jain Minority Quota/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS or any other Quota.

The conversion of the Nationality of candidates from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting.
The registration process for NEET 2023 counselling will begin on July 20 and the last date of registration is July 25. There will be four rounds of NEET counselling 2023 to be conducted by MCC.
