A total of 10 seats from PGIMS in the OP, BC, SC, and ST categories have been removed from the NEET PG 2024 round 3 seat matrix, with most seats being withdrawn from MD/MS Obstetrics & Gynecology courses. 

NEET PG 2024 Round 3 Seat Matrix

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a notice for the withdrawal of seats from the NEET PG 2024 round 3 counselling process. As per the notice, a total of 10 seats from the NEET PG 2024 round 3 seat matrix has been removed. The notice states that the MCC of DGHS has received information from one institute concerning the withdrawal of 10 seats from the round 3-seat matrix. 

The institute i.e. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science (PGIMS) Navi Mumbai is now shortened with 10 seats in 4 specialities of OP, BC, SC, and ST categories. These 10 withdrawn seats will be removed from the Seat Matrix prior to the allotment process for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Seat Withdwaral Details 

According to the seat matrix, most seats have been withdrawn from the MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology)/MS (Obstetrics & Gynecology) (OBGY) speciality, followed by MD (General Medicine). The fewest seats have been withdrawn from MD (Paediatrics CS) and MS (Orthopaedics).

Previously, MCC removed 50+ seats during the round 1 and 2 NEET PG 2024 counselling process. According to the list, a total of 57 seats have been withdrawn across medical colleges in India. The highest number, 16 seats, were withdrawn from Rajasthan, with 1 seat each withdrawn from Kerala, Goa, and Assam.

NEET PG Counselling 2024: Round 3 Seat Allotment on Jan 25

MCC will release the NEET PG 2024 round 3 seat allotment results on January 25, 2025. Students who have applied for the counselling process for round 3 admissions will be able to check whether they have been allotted a seat in their desired programme with the help of an allotment list.
