NEET PG 2024: SC Hearing Postponed Again! Petition Likely to be Heard on Jan 7
NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court hearing has been deferred for the seventh time since the filing of the petition in September 2024.
The Supreme Court of India has postponed the plea seeking transparency in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 again. The hearing was listed to be heard on Tuesday i.e. December 10, 2024. However, the Apex Court has deferred the matter to a later date.
Reportedly, the NEET PG 2024 SC hearing is now listed to be heard on January 7, 2025; making it the seventh postponement since the filing of the petition in September 2024, as reported by Medical Dialogues.
NEET PG SC Hearing 2024: Recent Updates on Petition
The NEET PG hearing 2024 which was scheduled on September 30 was postponed owing to the non-presence of anyone on the behalf of Central Government. During the hearing, CJI Chandrachud urged all the additional Solicitor Generals (ASGs) to be present at the subsequent hearing on October 4, 2024.
- The plea was later on postponed to October 25 due to non-submission of a detailed response by the Union of India. However, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has submitted the needful.
- As per the latest turn of events, The Apex Court bench comprising Justices BR Gavai and MV Viswanathan has postponed the NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court hearing, which was scheduled for December 10, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
The petition seeking NEET PG 2024 transparency was filed by 19 NEET PG candidates presenting concerns against impulsive changes in the examination pattern a few days before the exam date. The petitioners also raised concerns about the transparency in the result process. They further demanded that NBE disclose the question papers, answer keys and response sheets of the candidates for the examination.
