NEET PG 2024: SC Hearing Today; Counselling Dates, Schedule Awaited @mcc.nic.in
NEET PG Supreme Court hearing concerning last-minute changes in the examination pattern and other irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be held today. Afterwards, the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule is expected to be announced at mcc.nic.in.
NEET PG 2024 Latest News: The Supreme Court of India will hear the petition against discrepancies in NEET PG 2024 today, i.e. October 25, 2024. The petition, filed by NEET PG aspirants owing to last-minute changes in the examination pattern and other irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) will also include concerns about the unclear marking system of the NEET PG exam.
Reportedly, Students have requested the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to release the NEET PG answer key 2024 along with normalised and raw scores. After not getting a response to their requests, 19 students filed a petition to the Supreme Court seeking their grievance redressal. The petitioners argued that the NEET PG 2024 result transparency is their key concern after the release of the normalised score.
NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Update
The NEET PG Supreme Court hearing 2024 will be headed by CJI Chandrachud and justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra. During the previous hearing, the bench directed the expert panel to formulate a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to the registration, exam centre change and conduct of the NEET PG exam. “The report of the committee shall be submitted to the Union Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education shall take a decision on the recommendations made by the committee within a period of one month from receiving the report,” the bench ordered.

The NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule is expected to be released following the Supreme Court hearing today. It is expected that the NEET PG counselling dates 2024 will be released along with the schedule on mcc.nic.in any time as the delay is causing anxiety and stress among the students. The NEET PG counselling registration 2024 is underway. However, the authorities have not yet announced the complete counselling schedule.

Q: When will MCC conduct NEET PG 2024 counselling?
MCC announce dates and schedule for NEET PG 2024 counselling. Registration for NEET PG 2024 counselling round-2 will begin on December 4, 2024. The last date for round-2 registration is December 9, 2024. Round-2 final seat allotment result was announced on December 13, 2024 following the provisional result. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Registered candidates also have to declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Choices have to be locked in the given deadline. Seats are allotted based on declared choices, availablity of seats, NEET PG rank, reservation factor etc. A separate seat allotment result is declared for each round.

Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam with minimum cutoff marks as decided by NBE will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The qualifying cut off varies as per the category. January 1 is the deadline to declare preferences of choice for NEET PG 2024 round-3. Candidates have to login with registration ID and password to declare choices. It must be noted choice could be modified (edit/add/delete) any number of times till the deadline. Choices for NEET PG counselling must have to be saved and locked otherwise it gets automatically locked after the last date. Seat allotment result for NEET PG counselling round-3 will be declared on January 4, 2025.
