NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Today; MD, MS Counselling Schedule Soon @mcc.nic.in

NEET PG 2024 SC hearing will be resumed today i.e. September 30, 2024, owing to the last-minute changes in the exam pattern by NBE and concerns about marking patterns, inconsistencies in the result declaration, and the overall conduct of the examination.

The Supreme Court of India will resume the NEET PG 2024 hearing today, September 30. The hearing will be based on several issues concerning the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) such as last-minute changes in the exam pattern, marking issues, inconsistencies in result declaration, release of answer key/ paper solution and overall exam conduction.

Earlier, on September 27, The Supreme Court postponed the hearing of the NEET PG 2024 case to today, September 30 after considering the arguments against alleged discrepancies in the examination. 19 petitioners have filed a case against the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) about the serious issues of the examination. The hearing was presided over by a bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and Justice Manoj Misra. The bench is likely to take the matter up in the afternoon. Reportedly, during the last hearing, NBEMS submitted its response regarding last-minute changes in the NEET PG exam pattern. However, the apex court noted that there was no appearance on behalf of the Central Government for the matter. Hence, the hearing was adjourned till September 30.

The NEET PG results were announced on August 23, 2024. Around 19 candidates urged the Supreme Court to look into NBE's decision not to publish the answer key, question paper and response sheet. The plea alleged discrepancies in the result and highlighted last-minute changes in the exam pattern.

MCC to Announce NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2024 Soon

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the NEET PG counselling schedule 2024 soon at the official website mcc.nic.in. The registration process for the MD, MS, and DnB programmes has already started but the counselling schedule is yet to be announced. “The detailed schedule of PG Counselling 2024 will be updated soon. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) for further updates,” reads the official notification.
