NEET PG Counselling 2024: UDFA Writes to Health Minister Seeking Intervention for Delay in Admission Process
NEET PG 2024 counselling dates are yet to be announced by MCC on the official website. Meanwhile, UDFA has submitted an official letter to Health Minister JP Nadda urging an intervention for the delay in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process.
NEET PG counselling schedule 2024 is yet to be announced by MCC on the official website. As a result, over two lakh NEET PG aspirants are under stress due to the uncertainty of the admission process. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation (NEET-PG) exam has been under a lot of criticism due to the postponement of the exam date a day prior to the exam and now due to delays in the counselling process.
The authorities have started NEET PG counselling registration 2024 but are yet to announce the further counselling schedule for admission. Meanwhile, many states like Maharashtra, Jammu Kashmir, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have started the registration process but have yet to announce the NEET PG counselling schedule 2024.
NEET PG Counselling 2024: UDFA Writes to MoHFW
The United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) has officially submitted a letter to Hon’ble Health Minister JP Nadda highlighting the severe delays in the NEETPG 2024 counselling process and how this delay is causing undue stress and uncertainty for over 2 lakh aspirants. The association has urged the union minister to intervene in the matter and do the needful in favour of the students.
"This is regarding the delay in AIQ NEET PG 2024 Counselling. The national-level examination for PG medical course admission was conducted on August 11, 2024, after multiple delays and the result was declared on August 23, 2024. MCC started the registration process on September 20, 2024, but there was no other information regarding the last date of registration, information brochure, seat matrix etc. The MCC official website still displays the message that it will be updated soon. Even after 45 days of results and nearly 15 days of registration of counselling there is no progress in the counseling process." The official letter reads.
NEET PG 2024 Counselling Dates Awaited: Students Under Stress
The NEET PG examination for the session 2024-25 has several controversies including multiple delays in the examination, last-minute changes in the examination pattern and so on. Now, the delay in the NEET PG counselling date 2024 has created extreme pressure on the students. Because of this, UDFA has further mentioned in the notice "The students have worked hard for this exam and there is already a delay in starting this 2024 session. This puts a mental and financial burden on the students and their families as well."
Q: How many rounds of counselling will be held for NEET PG 2024 counselling?
A total of 4 rounds of NEET PG 2024 counselling will be held for 50% All India Quota seats by MCC. Candidates will have to register on the official website, mcc. nic.in to participate in the counselling rounds for NEET PG 2024. Registration will be followed by choice declaration for the counselling. Seats will be allotted based on NEET PG rank, choice declared by candidates, availability of seats in particular college and course, reservation factor etc. Candidates must note, respective state authorities will conduct the counselling for rest 50% seats.
Q: When will MCC conduct NEET PG 2024 counselling?
MCC announce dates and schedule for NEET PG 2024 counselling. Registration for NEET PG 2024 counselling round-2 will begin on December 4, 2024. The last date for round-2 registration is December 9, 2024. Round-2 final seat allotment result was announced on December 13, 2024 following the provisional result. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Registered candidates also have to declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Choices have to be locked in the given deadline. Seats are allotted based on declared choices, availablity of seats, NEET PG rank, reservation factor etc. A separate seat allotment result is declared for each round.
