NEET UG 2022 to be held in 14 cities abroad for the first time: NTA

National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that for the very first time NEET-UG 2022 will be conducted in 14 cities outside India apart from 543 cities in India.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG 2022 notification on April 6, the application process is open now. For the first time, NEET UG 2022 is all set to be conducted in 14 cities outside India apart from 543 cities in India. These abroad cities include Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kaula Lumpur, Kuwait City, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Singapore.

The online application can be submitted between April 6 to May 6, 2022, up to 11:50 PM. The last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI/Paytm is May 7, 2022, up to 11:50 PM. 

The fee for the General category is INR 1600, for General-EWS/OBC-NCL, is INR 1500, and for SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender is INR 900.

NEET UG 2022 Exam Details

The medical entrance examination will be conducted on July 17, 2022 (Sunday). The entrance test will consist of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ) from the subjects - Biology including Botany and Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics. 50 questions in each subject will be divided into two sections (A and B). The duration of the examination will be 3 hours and 20 minutes.

NEET UG 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Lakhs of candidates were waiting for NEET-UG 2022 notification. In NEET 2021, as many as 16.14 lakh candidates had registered, out of which 15.44 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
