This year, National Testing Agency has revised the policy and decided not to use age and application number as factors in tie-breaking. A day after opening the registration window for NEET UG 2023, NTA has brought several changes. It increased the fees and reduced the exam centres in India. Read here for more details.

Till last year, age and NEET UG application number were used to be the criteria in NEET UG tie-breaking policy. However, this year, National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the policy and decided not to use age and application number as factors in tie-breaking.

If two or more applicants of NEET UG 2023 will secure the same exam score, then NTA will follow a tie-breaking methodology to break the deadlock and determine the merit.

NEET UG 2023 exam is all set to be held on May 7, 2023. The NEET UG 2023 application form was released on March 6 and the last date to apply for NEET UG 2023 exam is April 6, up to 11:50 PM.

How to register for NEET UG 2023

The candidates need to follow these steps to apply for NEET UG 2023 exam:

  • Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the NEET UG application link under the candidate activity tab on the home page
  • Register and get login credentials
  • Fill out the application form, upload documents and make payment.

Documents needed for NEET UG 2023 registration are - a scanned copy of Aadhar card of the candidate, Class 10 mark sheet/ certificate, Class 12 mark sheet/ certificate, scanned copy of a passport-size photo of the candidate, scanned copy of the signature of the applicant, and Category certificate, if applicable.
