All India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) is actively demanding a second attempt of the NEET UG 2023 exam. After submitting a representation to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and writing to National Human Rights Commission India, now a delegation of AIJNSA met with the health minister of Chhattisgarh.

NEET UG 2023 Second Attempt: Students' Association met Chhattisgarh health minister

The all India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) team met the health minister of Chhattisgarh Tribhuvaneshwar Saran Singh Deo to demand a second attempt for NEET UG 2023. The students' association said that the minister will recommend it to the centre.

AIJNSA's tweet reads, "Today our @AIJNSA_CG team meet Hon'ble Health minister of CG regarding #NEETUG23 2nd attempt.Sir will recommend centre for conduction of #NEETUG23 twice a year from this year."

AIJNSA also wrote to the health minister and said that conducting NEET UG twice a year, starting this year, will be crucial to address the issue of limited government seats and provide fair chances to the candidates.

The association once again highlighted that the number of NEET UG candidates are increasing every year but the seats are not increasing at the same pace, as a result, many deserving candidates are unable to secure a seat in their desired course and colleges. It also said that in Chhattisgarh, 85% of seats are reserved for domicile candidates and hence conducting NEET UG twice a year would be a viable solution.

The students' association has been saying that conducting NEET only once a year put huge pressure on the candidate and a single exam can be overwhelming for many students and they might not perform well due to stress and anxiety. Increasing the number of attempts will reduce the stress level of the candidates, added AIJNSA.
