The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the NEET UG exam date 2025 at the official website. Students willing to appear for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test will be able to check the exam date soon at nta.ac.in. The authority is expected to announce the NEET exam date 2025 tentatively this month along with other national-level entrance examinations. Keeping up with the previous years' trend, the NEET 2025 exam date is likely to be announced soon by NTA along with the release of JEE Main, CUET and UGC NET exam dates.
As students are already preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for undergraduates for the academic session 2025-26. NEET UG 2025: Exam Pattern
The NEET UG 2025 exam will tentatively be conducted in the month of May in pen and paper mode. The examination will be conducted with 200 MCQ questions from three sections including Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The NEET UG exam pattern 2025 will have a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
The NEET UG registration 2025 will tentatively begin in the month of February 2025 as per the previous year's trend. Students willing to enrol for the national level entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS or AYUSH courses will have to pay INR 1,700 as an application fee. However, the NEET registration fee varies category-wise for each category.
NEET UG 2025: Over One Lakh Seats to Offer
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test will be conducted for admission to several programmes including Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) seats, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (Ayush) and BSc Nursing programmes. Students who will qualify the NEET UG 2025 exam will be eligible to participate for the counselling process for All India Quota (AIQ) quota seats as well as State Quota seats.
Q: When did the NEET registration 2024 process conclude?
The NEET registration 2024 process was conducted for little over a month. Started on February 9, 2024, the date of concluding the NEET 2024 registration process was March 16, 2024. Although originally the last date of NEET 2024 registration was March 9, but was extended till March 16, 2024. NTA also reopened the application process from April 9 to April 10. Based on multiple candidate and stakeholders requests, NTA decided to extend and later reopen the NEET 2024 application process.
Q: Will there be a change in the NEET application fee for 2025?
It is expected that the NEET 2025 application fee will remain the same as last year. Last year also there was no change in the NEET 2024 application fee. The fee remained the same across all categories. The application fee has to be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI and Paytm modes. Unless a candidate paid the fee as per his/her category, the NEET application process would not be considered complete and he/she will not be able to appear for the exam.
Q: The session expired while submitting the application form for NEET. What should I do?
Candidates filling the NEET application form had to fill and submit it within 30 minutes of logging into the registered account. Also, they had to keep saving each section of the application form to avoid filling it again if the session expires. To ensure completing the form in under 30 minutes, it was advised to keep all the information handy. Also, candidates had to save each stage of the NEET 2024 application form. In case of session expiry, they had to login again and resume the NEET application process.
