MCC has announced that due to a technical glitch, the admission of candidates to the Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia University, New Delhi has been revoked and is now considered null and void. Such candidates will have to register and fill in choices again.

Candidates who were allotted seats for the BDS course offered by the Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi in the Round 1 and Round 2 have been notified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) that the said allotment was made erroneous due to a technical glitch. This has led to the seat allotment to this course and institute being null and void.

Fresh seat allotment will be made for the Mop-up Round of NEET 2021 counselling. Candidates who have already taken admission in Round 1 and Round 2 of the counselling will be allowed to fill choices in the mop-up round. Fees for already admitted candidates will be adjusted during the admission process by the College Authority, if re-allotted. Those who would not be allotted a seat in the fresh seat allotment result will get a complete refund of fees from the college authorities.

MCC states, β€œThis notice is only in reference to the allotment made for BDS seats in Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi UG 2021 Counselling & allotment made in other participating colleges remains the same.”

Students Admitted in Round 1 and Round 2 NEET 2021 Counselling

Earlier, MCC had released a list that included as many as 17,216 candidates who have joined the MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses offered by the participating institutes. The following table brings the list of candidates admitted to the MBBS, BDS and Msc Nursing courses.

As many as 29 candidates were allotted BDS seats at the Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Extension of Mop-up Round Dates

MCC has also reopened the registration window for the Mop-up round on March 16. Candidates can now register, fill and lock choices till March 19. The seat allotment result will now be declared on March 23 and candidates will have to report to institutes between March 24 and March 29.
