MCC has issued a notice regarding upgradation of seats from Round 2 to Round 3 of NEET UG Counselling 2023. The Round 1 seat resignation process has also been reopened from August 19 to August 21, 6 PM. The institute reporting process for Round 2 is scheduled from August 20 to August 23. NEET UG Counselling 2023 Instructions Regarding Round 2 to Round 3 Seat Upgradation

NEET UG counselling 2023 result was declared on August 18. The institute reporting process will be conducted from August 20 to August 28. Prior to the commencement of the institute reporting, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a notice regarding the upgradation of seats from Round 2 to Round 3 of the NEET 2023 counselling.

Instructions Regarding NEET UG Counselling 2023 Round 2 to Round 3 Seat Upgradation

MCC has laid down the following points or instructions regarding seat upgradation from Round 2 to Round 3 of NEET UG counselling 2023:

1. Round-1 candidates who did not get upgraded in Round-2 and want to participate in Round-3 of UG Counselling, may fill choices for up gradation in Round-3 since their willingness will be taken as ‘YES’ automatically.

2. Freshly allotted candidates of Round-2 may fill choices for upgradation in Round-3 by giving willingness as ‘YES’ at the time of reporting for Round-2 seat at the allotted college

3. Round-1 & Round-2 candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats and do not want to get upgraded in Round-3 may not fill fresh choices in Round-3.

4. However, Round-1/ Round-2 candidates should note that they have to remain in system and should be holding their seat to fill choices in Round-3. If a candidate has resigned Round-1/ Round-2 seat s/he will have to pay full fee again to participate in Round-3.

5. Any Round-2 candidate who wants to resign may exit with forfeiture before the Choice Filling of Round-3 starts. There will be no option of resignation after the start of Choice Filling of Round-3.

6. If a candidate does not join the allotted seat of Round-2/ Round-3 there will be ‘Exit with Forfeiture’.

7. Candidates who have exited with forfeiture in Round-3 will not be able to participate in Stray Vacancy Rounds and any further rounds. Hence, ‘Exit with Forfeiture’ candidates of Round-3 will be eliminated from counselling.

NEET UG Counselling 2023 Seat Resignation for Round 1

MCC has also reopened the seat resignation process for Round 1 from August 19 to August 21, 6 PM. MCC has stated, “As mentioned in the counselling scheme the candidates who did not get upgraded in Round-2 and want to resign their seat of Round-1 can do so within the period 02:00 P.M of 19.08.2023 upto 06:00 P.M of 21.08.2023 without forfeiture of Security Deposit after which they will be considered as part of Round-2 and same rules will apply on them as applicable for Round- 2 of counselling. Hence, any resignation after 06:00 P.M of 21.08.2023 will be treated as ‘Exit with Forfeiture’ of fees.”

The Resignation Letter is generated online on the MCC website. by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’. In such a case, candidates will be deemed to occupy the seat still, and rules of Round-2 will apply. Any other letter will not be considered.

The registration process for the NEET counselling 2023 Round 3 will be conducted from August 31 to September 4.
