MCC NEET UG 2024 counselling dates will be announced at mcc.nic.in once the seat matrix for NEET UG is finalised. Check NEET counselling expected dates and other details here.

NEET UG counselling dates 2024

NEET counselling dates 2024 are yet to be announced on the official website. The counselling process was expected to begin on July 6, 2024, but was delayed due to the non-finalization of the seat matrix for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG). The NEET counselling seat matrix is the collective number of seats offered across the participating institutes for each programme. Reportedly the government has informed that the National Medical Commission (NMC) will finalise the NEET UG seat matrix by July third week and NEET PG seat matrix by mid-August. Later on, MCC will announce the NEET PG counselling dates 2024.

MCC to Conduct NEET Counselling for 15% AIQ Seats

The counselling process for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats is released by MCC while the counselling for 85% state quota seats is conducted by State Medical Counselling. Hence, it is required that the seat matrix for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) are cleared and confirmed before announcing the counselling dates for NEET UG 2024. Besides, MCC is responsible for holding NEET 2024 counselling for 1,09,170 MBBS, 27,868 BDS and 1,000 BSc Nursing seats across India.

In the latest turn of events, MCC is likely to begin the NEET 2024 counselling process during the third week of July, as reported by Aaj Tak News. The process for issuing permission letters to some medical colleges is still under process and the commission is likely to add additional seats under the seat matrix. Previously, the Supreme Court last month refused to postpone the counselling process for NEET UG.
