NEET UG Counselling 2024: MCC Opens Portal for Medical Colleges to Submit Seat Matrix by July 20

MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 will be conducted in four rounds of counselling probably from the third week of July 2024 amid the NEET UG Supreme Court hearing scheduled on July 18. 

MCC NEET UG Counselling Dates 2024

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice, dated July 16, inviting medical colleges to enter their seat matrix at the official portal mcc.nic.in amidst NEET UG Supreme Court judgment scheduled on July 18 concerning NEET UG counselling dates 2024. 

The committee has notified participating institutions to submit their UG seat intake for medical courses on or before July 20, 2024. The participating institutes will have to submit their seat matrix on the intramcc portal, as reported by Indian Express. 

β€œInstitutes participating in UG Counselling 2024 are hereby informed that the intramcc portal for the contribution of UG seats is open now. Hence, Institutes are requested to start entering their seats on the portal at the earliest so that the process of seats contribution can be completed timely,” read the official notification.

Besides, MCC has also notified that the user ID and password for accessing the portal by the institution remains the same as of the previous year and the facility to retrieve the password is also available in case any institution forgets the password/ or is willing to create a new password. 

When Will NEET UG Counselling 2024 Begin? 

Around 23 lakh medical aspirants are waiting for NEET UG counselling dates 2024 to be announced. At the latest turn of events, the MCC NEET counselling 2024 is likely to begin in the third week of July. The NEET UG counselling 2024 will be held in four rounds of counselling. Reportedly, a total of 1,08,940 MBBS seats are planned to be filled where Tamil Nadu have the highest number of MBBS government seats (5,275) followed by Maharashtra government medical college seats (5,125).
