NMC extends application deadline for renewal of permission to March 17

On request of medical colleges, NMC has extended the date to apply for renewal of permission for the academic year 2023-24 to March 17, 2023. The colleges who have been denied any permission due to legal issues, cancellation of batch/stoppage of admissions will not be considered for renewal of permission.

National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the application deadline for renewal of permission to March 17, 2023. The government and private medical colleges, that could not apply for renewal of permission, can do so by the new deadline.

NMC's official notification reads, "The various request received from medical colleges to give the time to apply for renewal of permission who couldn't apply for renewal of permission for the academic year 2023-2024 due to early closure of NMC online portal so that they can participate in the counselling of 2023-24."

"The request of medical colleges have been considered by Medical Assessment and Rating Board and it has been decided to give them a chance to apply for renewal of permission so that they can participate in the counselling processs of academic year 2023-2024," added NMC's notification.

All government and private medical colleges, who could not apply for renewal of permission, are requested to apply and send a sworn affidavit along with requisite application fees by March 17, 2023.

The colleges who have been denied any permission due to legal issues, cancellation of batch/stoppage of admissions may not be considered for renewal of permission, said NMC.

Random surprise inspections will also be carried out on the basis of the track record of the medical college, added NMC.
