Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2021 postponed

Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2021 has been postponed, as per the new notification, and the new dates will soon be announced by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Cell.

As per the recent notification released by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Cell, the registration process for National Eligibility Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Counselling 2021 for getting admission into MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)/BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) Courses that was scheduled to begin on November 29, 2021, is deferred and the new dates will be announced soon at the official website odishajee.com. 

OJEE 2021 notification reads, "In supersession of the previous circular (OJEE / 452 dated 25.11.2021), this is for the information of all concerned, that the process of registration for counselling and admission in MBBS / BDS Courses, that was scheduled to start from 29.11.2021, is hereby deferred till further notice."

The admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Odisha would be given on the basis of NEET UG 2021 scoring declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on November 1, 2021. OJEE will conduct Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2021 for 85% of medical seats in the state and Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the remaining 15% of seats for the All India Quota (AIQ).

There is a total of 1450 medical seats in Odisha offered under eight government-run and two private-run medical colleges. For all these medical colleges, OJEE conducts the counselling and for additional 500 MBBS seats of two deemed to be universities, the admission processes are conducted by these universities themselves.
